Margot’s Drybrushing Technique

My technique for drybrushing is as follows - load the whole tip of the dry brush bristles (no water) in paint and then brush back and forth over a coffee filter or paper towel until most of the paint is out of the brush and the bristles feel almost dry. With a light touch, pretend you are painting the hairs on the back of your hand, go back and forth or around in a circular motion depending on the area you are applying color, laying on a faint dusting of color. If you need to apply a second coat, be sure the first layer is dry to avoid creating a hole in the damp paint. This brush is also excellent on textured surfaces.
